The world's biggest multi-title esports event returns for its 3rd edition — 25 events across 24 games in Paris. Bet on Valorant, Dota 2, Chess and more at me88 Malaysia.
An annual multi-title mega-event that crowns the best clubs and players across the biggest games in esports.
The Esports World Cup (EWC) is the largest cross-title esports competition in the world, bringing dozens of games together under one banner over a single summer. The 2026 tournament is the 3rd edition of the event and is organised by the Esports Foundation (EF), the not-for-profit body that runs the competition and its year-round Club Championship.
What makes the Esports World Cup different from a normal tournament is its scale. Instead of one game, the 2026 edition stages 25 events across 24 games — from tactical shooters like Valorant and Counter-Strike 2, to MOBAs like Dota 2 and League of Legends, to fighting games, battle royales, mobile titles and even Chess. Clubs earn points across every game they compete in, chasing the overall Club Championship crown on top of each individual game title.
For Malaysian and Singaporean bettors, the EWC is one of the richest betting windows of the year: seven straight weeks of elite matches across the titles you already follow. At me88 you can bet on the headline events with deep markets and live in-play odds. This hub covers the essentials — the game lineup, dates, venue and prize pool — then points you to dedicated guides for the three events we cover in depth.

Watching from Malaysia or Singapore? Matches run on Paris time (CEST, UTC+2). Malaysia and Singapore are on GMT+8, which is 6 hours ahead of Paris. So a match starting at 6:00 PM in Paris begins at 12:00 midnight the same night in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, and an afternoon 3:00 PM Paris match is a 9:00 PM local watch. Always add 6 hours to the published Paris time.
The EWC splits its prize money between individual game titles and an overall club standings race.
The 2026 Esports World Cup carries a total prize pool of US$75 million, one of the largest in esports history. That figure is spread across two layers of competition.
Each of the 25 events has its own prize pool that is paid to the teams and players who finish highest in that specific game. For example, the Valorant event carries a US$2,000,000 pool and the Dota 2 event a US$2,000,000 pool, while the Chess event is reported at US$1,500,000. Our dedicated spoke guides break down each of these in detail.
On top of the per-game prizes, the EWC runs a season-long Club Championship worth US$30 million, shared among the top 24 clubs. Clubs score points based on how their rosters place across every game they enter throughout the event. The organisation that accumulates the most points is crowned the Esports World Cup Club Champion and takes home US$7 million as the winning club. This is why you'll see the same club names competing across Valorant, Dota 2, Chess and dozens of other titles — every strong finish adds to their overall total.
